Discussions on the provision of new €20 million assistance from the European Peace Facility to Armenia continue, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said at a joint press conference with his Slovenian counterpart Tanja Fajon in Yerevan.
“The discussions continue, and we hope that there will be a positive resolution in the near future,” Mirzoyan said.
Tanja Fajon said, in turn, that Slovenia has endorsed the provision of €20 million aid to Armenia under the European Peace Facility. “There should be a consensus decision, but as for Slovenia, we have endorsed and gave a strong support to that proposal,” Fajon said.
RFE/RL earlier reported, citing sources, that Hungary has blocked the €20 million aid to Armenia through the European Peace Facility.
