Armenia currently has no decision to recall the lawsuits filed against Azerbaijan in international courts, Yeghishe Kirakosyan, Armenia’s representative for international legal affairs, said at a briefing with journalists today.
“There is no such issue at this point,” Kirakosyan said, refraining from further comments.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s had earlier said that at some stage the issue of mutual withdrawing of claims could be discussed.
“The examination of our claims continues, the procedural steps necessary to ensure the examination of the claims continue,” Kirakosyan said.
Kirakosyan also noted that currently Azerbaijan has lawsuits related to Armenia in two international instances: the European Court of Human Rights and the International Court of Justice, as well as an arbitration process. “No new lawsuit has been filed by Azerbaijan,” Kirakosyan noted.
