Organized evacuation is impossible from Syria is impossible for now, the Armenian Embassy in Syria informs.
The Embassy and the Armenian Consulate General in Aleppo urge Armenians living Aleppo and the surrounding regions to refrain from moving anywhere without extreme necessity and exclude the attempts to leave the city.
“Compatriots who have applied for Armenian citizenship but have not yet received their passports and Syrian citizens of Armenian descent who wish to travel to Armenia can apply to the Armenian Embassies in Damascus or Beirut and obtain Armenian entry visas through a simplified procedure,” the Embassy said.
The diplomatic mission is currently verifying the lists of those whose passports are ready and is seeking opportunities to hand over the existing passports to recipients.
A hotline (+ 963 96 000 36 22) has been set up at the Armenian Embassy in Damascus to support Armenians in Syria.
