Armenia’s Former Defense Minister David Tonoyan has been released on AMD 15 million (over $38,000) bail, his lawyer Albert Benglyan has confirmed.
David Tonoyan, who served as Defense Minister between 2018 and 2020, has spent almost three years in jail under a criminal case related to abuse in the process of ammunition supply.
The court had previously rejected a number of petitions to change Tonoyan’s measure of restraint.
