President of Greece Prokopis Pavlopoulos has arrived in Armenia for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Armenian President Armen Sarkissian.
At Zvartnots International Airport President Pavlopoulos was welcomed by Minister of Environmental Protection Erik Grigoryan.
The official welcome ceremony will be followed by a meeting between the Presidents of the two countries. Armen Sarkissian and Prokopis Pavlopoulos will then make a statement for the press.
The President of Greece will visit the Armenian Genocide Memorial and the Museum-Institute.
President Pavlopoulos is also expected to meet with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan aand National Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan. He will visit His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
The Greek delegation will also visit the Matenadaran depository of ancient manuscripts and will meet representatives of the Greek community in Armenia.
