Australia’s Ambassador presents credentials to Armenian President

The newly appointed Ambassador of Australia to the Republic of Armenia Armenia Paul Myler (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan, President’s Press Office reported.

Serzh Sargsyan congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in our country and expressed hope that Ambassador Myler will do his best to expand the agenda of the Armenian-Australian cooperation and to endow the bilateral relations with a new quality. At the meeting, the President of Armenia and Ambassador of Australia stressed the importance of the Armenian-Australian community in the strengthening bilateral ties.

President Serzh Sargsyan expressed gratitude to the legislative and executive branches of Australia’s New South Wales state for their valuable assistance in the recognition of independence of Nagorno Karabakh and Armenian Genocide. The President hailed also cooperation of our two countries in the framework of international organizations.

Ambassador Paul Myler assured President Sargsyan that he would do everything to further deepen and strengthen the Armenian-Australian bilateral ties which rest on a solid base.
