
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message to French President Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of France’s National Day, emphasizing the deepening strategic partnership between Armenia and France.
In his message, Pashinyan extended warm congratulations and best wishes to President Macron and the people of France, noting the symbolic importance of July 14 for nations that uphold the values of freedom, equality, and fraternity.
“July 14 has a special meaning not only for France, but also for all peoples sharing the values of freedom, equality and fraternity,” the Prime Minister said, highlighting France’s historic role in shaping the principles of the modern democratic world.
Pashinyan commended the current state of Armenia-France relations, describing them as having reached an “unprecedented level” in recent years, with a strengthened strategic dimension.
He noted that bilateral cooperation is expanding across a wide range of sectors, including political dialogue, defense, economy, investments, infrastructure, energy, education, science, culture, and decentralized cooperation. The Prime Minister also pointed to emerging areas of collaboration such as innovation, artificial intelligence, biodiversity protection, and climate action.
“I am confident that the consistent implementation of the jointly developed ambitious agenda will bring our partnership to a higher level for the benefit of both friendly peoples,” he said.
Pashinyan underscored Armenia’s appreciation for France’s continued support in advancing Armenia’s partnership with the European Union, as well as its role in promoting democratic reforms and institutional development in the country.
He also expressed gratitude for France’s support for Armenia’s sovereignty and resilience, as well as President Macron’s personal commitment to these efforts.
Concluding his message, the Prime Minister wished peace, prosperity, and continued success to France, and expressed hope for further strengthening of the Armenia-France strategic partnership.
