A group of European experts will visit Armenia on June 24 will visit Armenia on June 24 to discuss a draft version of the EU-Armenia Visa Liberalization Action Plan, EU Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner said at a meeting with Armenia’s Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan in Brussels.
During the meeting the two officials focused on the ongoing EU-Armenia visa liberalization dialogue, underlining the importance of taking practical steps to advance the process.
The European side reaffirmed its commitment to finalizing and submitting the Action Plan to the Armenian authorities in the shortest possible timeframe.
Minister Sargsyan provided a detailed overview of the reforms currently underway in Armenia and emphasized the country’s readiness to make every effort to ensure the swift implementation of the Action Plan. To further coordinate upcoming steps and allow for a deeper understanding of Armenia’s ongoing transformations, Minister Sargsyan invited Commissioner Brunner to visit Yerevan next year.
