Armenian chess players won 3 gold and 2 bronze medals at the European Youth Rapid and Blitz Championship 2024 held in Prague, Czech Republic, the Chess federation of Armenia informs.
FM Aleks Sahakyan became the European U18 Rapid Chess Champion.
Sona Krkyasharyan was crowned European G14 Blitz Chess Champion.
Sofia Baghramyan became the European G8 Blitz Chess Champion and won the bronze of the European G8 Rapid Chess Championship.
The Armenian team became the bronze medalist of the European U10 Team Rapid Chess Championship. The team comprised Davit Melkonyan, Ashot Avetisyan, Armen Vardanyan and Slava Konjoryan.
The delegation was led by FM Tigran Gasparian.
