Armenia has sent humanitarian aid to Iran – Mirzoyan

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has rejected claims that Armenia failed to provide humanitarian assistance to Iran, emphasizing that aid had indeed been delivered.

Speaking at a sitting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, Mirzoyan stated that Armenia sent humanitarian support to the Islamic Republic of Iran, primarily in the form of medical supplies.

“Armenia has provided humanitarian assistance to Iran, mainly consisting of medication, and it could not have been otherwise,” he said.

The Minister underlined the longstanding and close ties between the two nations, noting that such support reflects the deep-rooted relationship between their peoples.

He added that Armenia does not always see the need to publicize such actions. However, he chose to address the issue directly in response to questions.
