Pashinyan, Tusk discuss bilateral ties, regional issues in Warsaw

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk have discussed a number of joint initiatives, as well as regional issues, during talks in Warsaw.

The meeting took place on the second day of Pashinyan’s official visit to Poland and followed an official welcoming ceremony and a one-on-one discussion between the two leaders.

According to the Armenian government, the talks focused on expanding cooperation in areas including the economy, infrastructure, security, education and science. Tusk welcomed the visit and said it could give new momentum to bilateral relations, reaffirming Poland’s interest in deepening ties with Armenia, including within the framework of the European Union.

Pashinyan thanked Poland for its hospitality and highlighted the importance of strengthening multifaceted cooperation. He also praised Poland’s support for institutional reforms in Armenia and stressed the need to enhance trade and economic links.

The two leaders also exchanged views on regional developments, including the Armenia–Azerbaijan peace process, as well as the implementation of the TRIPP initiative and prospects for further Armenia–EU cooperation.
