Armenian, US officials review strategic partnership and progress on Washington Agreements

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker to discuss the ongoing development of the Armenia–U.S. strategic partnership.

During the meeting, the sides reiterated their readiness to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including energy, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and investment promotion.

“I am pleased to note the expansion of the Armenia–U.S. bilateral agenda, the dynamic political dialogue aimed at enriching our strategic partnership with new content and concrete initiatives, as well as the United States’ continued engagement in strengthening the peace achieved,” Minister Mirzoyan said.

The officials reviewed progress in implementing the agreements reached on August 8 during the Washington Peace Summit — an event that holds symbolic significance as it marks its 100th day. Mirzoyan and Hooker noted the advancements made so far and discussed the remaining steps toward full implementation.

The two also exchanged views on preparatory work related to the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity,” underscoring its importance for developing a broader network of transport and other regional connectivity routes. President Donald Trump has framed the initiative as a key mechanism for promoting peace, economic development, and regional integration.

Mirzoyan and Hooker additionally touched upon a range of regional issues, reaffirming the commitment of both sides to continued dialogue and cooperation.
