Rudik Makaryan wins “Moscow Open 2025” International Chess Tournament

Armenian International Master Rudik Makaryan has been crowned the winner of the prestigious Moscow Open 2025 international chess tournament, the Armenian Chess Federation reports.

Makaryan delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 8.5 points out of a possible 9, finishing a full 1.5 points ahead of his closest rival. His dominant showing secured him a clear first place in one of the most competitive open tournaments of the year.

The Moscow Open 2025, held for the 21st time this year, brought together more than 1,000 participants from eight countries, reinforcing its status as a major event on the international chess calendar.
