Armenian supports Lebanon’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and inviolability of its borders, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in a congratulatory message to Joseph Aoun, the newly-elected President of the Republic of Lebanon.
“I am convinced that under your leadership, Lebanon will rediscover the path of stability, peace and prosperity in this challenging period,” PM Pashinyan said.
“Armenia and Lebanon have rich traditions of friendship, based on close historical and cultural ties and mutual respect between the two peoples. I reaffirm Armenia’s support for Lebanon’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and inviolability of its borders,” the Prime Minister said.
He assured that Armenia will continue its support for international efforts aimed at establishing peace in Lebanon, in particular with the active participation of the Armenian peacekeeping contingent within the framework of UNIFIL.
“I am convinced that with joint efforts we can further deepen and develop mutually beneficial cooperation on both bilateral and multilateral platforms for the benefit of our countries and two friendly peoples,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
