Paris’ iconic Champs Elysees avenue sparkled with its annual Christmas lights display on Sunday, November 24, kicking off the holiday season in the French capital, Reuters reports.
A total of 400 trees on the famed avenue were adorned with LED lights in the form of a wine glass for the holiday display.
Tourists and locals alike roamed on the avenue, which was closed off to cars as part of Sunday’s inauguration, led by athlete Tony Estanguet, the president of this year’s Paris Olympics.
The lights will glitter on the Champs Elysees every night until midnight until Jan. 5, 2025.
