Tigran Mkrtchyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, met with Giorgos Kotsiras, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, responsible for public diplomacy and Greek Diaspora issues.
The interlocutors discussed the possibilities and forms of cooperation of diaspora institutions. Mr. Kotsiras informed the Armenian Ambassador about the expected presentation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ strategy for the Hellenic diaspora for the period 2024-2027, noting that Armenia’s experience in organizing cooperation with diaspora institutions is of interest for the Greek side.
The Armenian Ambassador briefs the Deputy Minister on a series of events that will be organized in Armenia in the near future, which create the opportunity for high-level contacts and exchange of experiences.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of both official high-level reciprocal visits and the promotion of cooperation between the community structures.
