The US commends Armenia and Azerbaijan for formalizing the rules of procedure for border delimitation, demonstrating that progress is possible through sustained dialogue, Spokesperson for the US Department of State Matthew Miller said in a post on X.
“We support both sides’ work towards a durable, dignified peace for security and prosperity in the region,” he wrote.
Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vahagn Khachaturyan and Ilham Aliyev signed the Regulation of joint activity of Armenian and Azerbaijani border commissions into law on October 25.
The document was signed on August 30.
