Gunmen opened fire at people on a Tel Aviv street on Tuesday evening, according to police, with Israeli media reporting that at least six people were killed, the BBC reports.
At least seven others were reported to have been injured, and several are in a critical condition.
Images posted on social media showed the gunman shooting at bystanders and injured people lying on the ground at a railway station in the Jaffa area.
Police said two attackers were “neutralised” and described the motive as “terror”.
Israeli media said the gunmen were shot dead by a passing security guard.
The shooting occurred shortly before an Iranian missile attack against Israel began.
