The Armenian side has denied the Azerbaijani reports on ceasefire violation.
“The statement issued by the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan, alleging that on September 28, at approximately 11:20 p.m., units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions in the southwestern section of the border, doesn’t correspond to reality,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry reminded that the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia has proposed the establishment of a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism for investigating ceasefire violations and/or related cases, to which Azerbaijan has not yet responded.
