Constitutional Court to examine Regulation on the activity of Armenian and Azerbaijani border commissions on September 24

The Constitutional Court of Armenia will examine the Regulation on joint activity of the Armenian and Azerbaijani border commissions on September 24.

During its sitting on September 5, the Armenian Government approved the ratification of the Regulation on joint activity of the commissions on delimitation and border security signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The Armenian Foreign Ministry announced the signing of the Regulation on August 30.

The Regulations states that the commissions will rely on the Alma-Ata Declaration as a fundamental principle of the process of delimitation of the state border between the two countries.

The Regulation implies organization of border demarcation works and adoption of relevant documents, preparation of the state border crossing protocol-description and guidelines for creation of delimitation maps.
