Armenia has presented 10th package of peace treaty proposals to Azerbaijan – Deputy FM

Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan participated in the panel discussion on “Armenia and the EU: Priorities, Partnerships, and Paths Forward” held within the framework of the GLOBSEC conference in Prague.

Vahan Kostanyan referred to the foreign policy of Armenia, emphasizing the importance of diversification aimed at protecting the sovereignty, international borders, and democracy of the Republic of Armenia.

In the context of cooperation with the EU, Vahan Kostanyan highlighted the active political dialogue and solid foundations of cooperation established between Armenia and EU member states, emphasizing the existence of significant prospects for deepening partnership both in the bilateral format and on the EU platform.

The Deputy Foreign Minister expressed commended the current dynamics of Armenia-EU relations and emphasized the deepening of Armenia-EU cooperation and the formation of a new partnership agenda aimed at strengthening Armenia’s resilience, as well as the implementation of democratic reforms.

The importance of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and its implementation in the context of addressing socio-economic challenges was emphasized.

Referring to the process of normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, Vahan Kostanyan noted that Armenia handed over the 10th package of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan to the Azerbaijani side. The Deputy Minister reaffirmed Armenia’s readiness to establish peace in the South Caucasus and the region.

The Deputy FM presented the Crossroads of Peace project developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia, reaffirming Armenia’s readiness to unblock regional communications based on the principles of sovereignty, jurisdiction, reciprocity and equality.
