Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a telephone conversation with Iran’s newly appointed Foreign Minister Sayyid Abbas Araghchi.
Ararat Mirzoyan congratulated Sayyid Abbas Araghchi on his appointment as Foreign Minister and wished him success in his new important mission.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the agenda of bilateral relations between Armenia and Iran, emphasizing the readiness of both sides to make continuous efforts towards further strengthening of friendly ties and strong partnership in areas of mutual interest. Reference was made to upcoming programs.
Minister Mirzoyan noted that the Armenian side highly appreciates the firm position of the Republic of Iran regarding the inviolability of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia.
