More than 220 residents of the Kursk region have been accommodated in temporary shelters in the Voronezh region

224 residents of the Kursk region were accommodated in social institutions and temporary housing in the city of Voronezh, as well as in Ramonsk, Khokholsk, Talovsky and Novusmansk regions, announced the head of the region Alexander Gusev.

“We accommodated 224 residents of Kursk region in Ramonsky, Khokholsky, Talovsky and Novusmansky regions, as well as in our social institutions and temporary accommodation in Voronezh. 199 of them arrived by bus, 25 of them arrived on their own,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Gusev noted that 60 children and 47 elderly people were among those who arrived.

Ukrainian armed forces invaded Russian territory at the beginning of this week. Four days after the armed forces crossed the border, a state of emergency was declared at the “federal level” in the Kursk region. Efforts are underway to evacuate citizens and provide humanitarian aid.
