The Lebanese Al-Mayadeen TV channel reports that there are women and children among those who died as a result of the Israeli air strike on the school in Gaza City.
Earlier, Palestinian rescue services reported that an Israeli plane fired three rockets at the Al-Tabain school in Gaza, where refugees had gathered for morning prayers. As a result, according to preliminary data, 100 people were killed. The Israel Defense Forces announced that it had struck a school in the Gaza Strip, claiming that Hamas militants were there.
One of the Lebanese TV channels published a video from the school that was hit by rockets on X. The video shows rescue teams pulling bodies wrapped in sheets from the rubble.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called for an urgent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip in a telephone conversation with Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Galant.
