The Council of Public Broadcaster of Armenia has elected Armen Koloyan as director of “Public Radio Company of Armenia” CJSC.
According to the Council, Armen Koloyan received five votes, which is more than the minimum number of votes required to be recognized as the winner of the competition announced on June 27, 2024.
Six of the participants – Garegin Khumaryan, Bela Hovhannisyan, Mher Margaryan, Mikayel Yalanuzyan, Lusine Petrosyan and Hakob Rubinyan did not receive any votes. Nazeli Ohanian received one vote.
Armen Koloyan previously worked for the Armenian service of Radio Liberty.
Garegin Khumaryan, the former director of Public Radio of Armenia, has announced he will challenge the results of the election.
