Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a phone conversation with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the agenda of regional and bilateral relations, Armenian PM’s Office said.
In particular, reference was made to the process of normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.
The humanitarian problems of more than 100,000 forcibly displaced people of Nagorno Karabakh and the steps taken by the Armenian government to overcome them were also discussed. The importance of the support of the international community was emphasized.
According to the State Department, the Secretary reaffirmed the United States’ ongoing support for Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and outlined efforts to increase bilateral cooperation with Armenia as we work to support its vision for a prosperous and democratic future.
