Congressman Frank Pallone has expressed his disappointment over the State Department’s ruling out of sanctions against Azerbaijan.
“The Department of State has rightfully called on Aliyev to end his illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor, but it’s disappointing that they publicly ruled out sanctions against Azerbaijan. All options must remain on the table until Aliyev ends his abuses and complies with international law,” Frank Pallone said in a Twitter post.
Azerbaijanis have been keeping the Lachin corridor – the only road connecting the Republic of Artsakh to Armenia and therefore the rest of the world – closed.
