High-voltage power line supplying electricity to Artsakh damaged: Azerbaijan hindering restoration works

The only high-voltage power line supplying electricity from Armenia to the Republic of Artsakh was damaged at 2:35 p.m. today.

The accident was reported in the Aghavno-Berdzor section, Artsakhenergo informs.

Due to the destructive position of the Azerbaijani side, it is currently impossible to visit the site and organize emergency restoration works in the mentioned section.

Therefore a decision has been made to supply electricity to the republic through local generating stations with appropriate restrictions.

Information on possible power outrages will be available on the website of Artsakhenergo CJSC, and will be announced on Public TV and radio.
