The National Assembly of 8th convocation holds the first session today. The Civil Contract Party has 107 representatives in the 107-seat parliament, Armenia Alliance and I Have the Honor Alliance are represented by 29 and 7 MPs, respectively.
President Armen Sarkissian and His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholiocs of All Armenians, participate in the first sitting.
The MPs are expected to elect the President and Vice-Presient of the National Assembly.
The Standing Committees will be formed, their chairs will be elected.
