Hospitals in Martakert reopen to patients

With the assistance of Russian peacekeepers, the hospitals in Martakert have begun admitting patients, and the educational process has been restored in schools, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The Russian peacekeeping contingent continues to carry out tasks on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh.

At twenty-seven observation posts, Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring of the situation and control over the observance of the ceasefire regime.

The ceasefire is observed along the entire line of contact.

Sappers of the Humanitarian Response Center of the Russian peacekeeping contingent continue to examine private households and socially significant infrastructure facilities in Nagorno-Karabakh for explosives.

This made it possible for the civilian population to return to their homes, as well as to start repair and restoration work in schools and hospitals.

In total, since November 23, 2020, Russian sappers have cleared 1,623 hectares of territory, 508 km of roads, 1,577 housing buildings, including 30 socially significant objects from unexploded ordnance, 25,154 explosive objects have been found and neutralized.

Earlier, with the assistance of the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, the work of the Lachin hydroelectric power station was resumed, where the safety of the work of power engineers is ensured by Russian military personnel.
