Armenia, France keen to deepen cooperation in the field of civil security and emergency situations

Minister of Emergency Situations Andranik Piloyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Armenia Jonathan Lacotte.

Minister Piloyan praised the Armenian-French cooperation in the spheres of emergency situations, civil defense, stating that this cooperation dates back to 1988. Emphasizing the security of the population and the ability to withstand disasters, the parties expressed their readiness to continue and deepen joint work in this direction.

They also touched upon the possibilities of training Armenian rescuers with the support of the French side in the fields of disaster medicine and psychological service.

At the end of the meeting, the parties once again expressed readiness to expand joint programs in the field of civil defense and to ensure continuity.
