PM Pashinyan introduces newly-appointed Foreign Minister to the staff

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and introduced the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs Ara Ayvazyan to the staff.

The Prime Minister thanked former Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan for the work done during this difficult period.

“Of course, we are in a very difficult period, when we consider that in some way the military burden is decreasing, due to known circumstances, the diplomatic burden is increasing accordingly, and the diplomatic front is the most important and burdensome now. In this regard, I hope that the newly appointed Minister will be able to consolidate the entire diplomatic system, to focus on solving our national and state problems. I hope that Mr. Mnatsakanyan, who enjoys great respect and authority in the system, will assist in this issue,” the Prime Minister said.

Nikol Pashinyan attached importance to formulating the problems, because, according to him, sometimes we have problems formulating them.

“All this must be analyzed, investigations must be made, conclusions must be made, we must not be afraid to be courageous in those conclusion, to be cruel to ourselves, so that we can come out of all this stronger,” said the Prime Minister, wishing Ara Ayvazyan success in his future activities.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan thanked the Prime Minister for the trust and joint work, and wished success to Ara Ayvazyan.

“I have no doubt that Mr. Ayvazyan has the necessary potential to lead the Foreign Ministry, to advance our national agenda in the foreign policy sphere. I would like to thank you, Mr. Prime Minister, for your trust in the system, for the support that has allowed us to further strengthen and professionalize the system over the years. I have no doubt that the potential of the Foreign Ministry is strong enough to advance the national agenda and state interests of Armenia in this responsible period.,” Mr. Mnatsakanyan said.

“Mr. Prime Minister, I would like to thank you for the important agenda that you are putting forward to strengthen the democratic foundations of Armenia. Foreign policy is, after all, a continuation of domestic policy; our diplomatic potential and capabilities are most successful when our backs are strong and we are able to present ourselves to the world as a strong, self-confident state and people. We are going through a very responsible period. I have no doubt that this period is full of determination to strengthen our country, to ensure a free and prosperous life in Armenia,” said Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.

In his turn, Ara Ayvazyan thanked Prime Minister Pashinyan for entrusting him with the responsible post of Foreign Minister at this difficult time. “I perceive your decision as a confidence in the Armenian Foreign Ministry. I made the decision based on your proposal as a civil servant, fully aware of the full burden of responsibility, but at the same time knowing, feeling that our diplomatic family will provide unconditional support, will support our cherished cause,” Ayvazyan said.

According to the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, the continuation of Artsakh’s heroic struggle for survival is gradually being transferred from the battlefield to the diplomatic field; everyone understands well the huge responsibility they have to the history, the state and the people.

“The diplomatic army, the central apparatus, our diplomatic missions will continue to make the most of our potential, 30 years of professional experience, dedication and determination to meet these crucial challenges, to pave the way with dignified, effective solutions,” said the Foreign Minister.

Prime Minister Pashinyan wished all diplomats success in their further activities, emphasizing the importance of establishing and strengthening state institutions that will serve the interests of the state and the people.
