Defense Minister David Tonoyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin.
David Tonoyan praised the role and efforts of the Russian Federation in resolving the military-political situation in the region, as well as the process and effectiveness of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Artsakh.
The parties attached importance to the exchange of bodies, captives, hostages, missing persons coordinated by the peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The Armenian Defense Minister once again offered condolences to the Russian Ambassador on the death of Russian servicemen in the Mi-24 helicopter crash in Armenia and handed over the Medals for Combat Service awarded to crewmembers Major Yuri Ishchuk (posthumously, Senior Lieutenant Roman Fedin (posthumously) and Vladislav Glazin.
