Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and other Roma players have been spreading a bit of festive cheer at hospitals, schools and other venues around Rome this week.
The club – in conjunction with its charity arm, Roma Cares – has embarked on a number of initiatives in recent days, with the aim of spreading a little cheer at this time of year.
Coach Paulo Fonseca’s visit to the Bambino Gesu children’s hospital on Monday afternoon was just the start of a series of similar events, as players followed the boss’s lead and made a number of appearances at other hospitals, schools, churches and homes around the Italian capital.
