Armenian Grandmaster Zaven Andriasian has won a silver medal at the European Blitz Chess Championship held in Tallinn, Estonia.
Three players were tied for the top with 17 points each after 11 double rounds.
According to final results, Russia’s Igor Lysyl was crowned winner, while Andrey Esipenko (also from Russia) came in third.
More than 400 players from 32 countries participated in the tournament.
The news comes a day after Armenia’s Gabriel Sargissian won the European Rapid Chess Championship. Zaven Andriasian was 13th.
