Dutch Parliament votes to allocate funds for resident Embassy in Armenia

Tweede Kamer, the Dutch House of Representatives has adopted an amendment to 2020 Dutch MFA budget, allocating necessary funding for the resident Dutch Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia, the Armenian Embassy in the Netherlands informs.

The four coalition parties of the Dutch Parliament had earlier offered the leadership of the country to provide 2 million euros to the Foreign Ministry for opening an Embassy in the Republic of Armenia.

The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs saluted the stance, noting that” the move was a manifestation of support to the democratic developments in Armenia.”

“The Embassy will strengthen the long-standing partnership between Armenia and the Netherlands,” the Ministry then said.
