PM Pashinyan visits Armenian St. Lazarus Island

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Armenian St. Lazarus Island in the Venetian Lagoon.

PM Pashinyan had a meeting with Mekhitarist monks and representatives of the Armenian community.

The Prime Minister left a note in the guestbook.

“We came to express our support to the flood-hit Mekhitarist Congregation. I am glad there was no irreversible damage,” the Prime Minister wrote.

He also expressed the appreciation of the Armenian people of the Mekhitarist Congregation, which is one of the most important sources of our modern education, science.

“At a time when Armenian identity was at stake in the homeland, the Mekhitarist Congregation became a true temple for the preservation of our language, history, and identity. My homage to all those devoted to this mission,” PM Pashinyan concluded.
