Armenian government works to ensure interoperability of digitized platforms

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a meeting on Armenia’s digitization agenda and the vision for its implementation.

PM Pashinyan noted in his opening remarks that digitization is among the government’s priorities.

“Digitization is by far the most important component of the quality of life of our citizens and the quality of public services,” he said, adding that while the digitization of different departments is important,  it is even more important for those digital systems to be interoperable.

Unfortunately, he said, today there are digitized platforms in Armenia, which have a problem of interaction.

“We have decided that the Ministry of High-Tech Industry will set the standards and the principles of interoperability in the government system,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan reported on the work done to implement the digitization agenda of Armenia. He noted that the 2020-2025 digitization strategy has been developed, with a view of ensuring digital transformation of the government, the economy and the society.
