Marcos Pizzelli has said he is retiring from playing for Armenia.
“I have already informed the Armenian Football Federation that I will not play for the Armenian national team anymore,” the midfielder told TopSports in an interview.
Pizzelli, who has also left the Kazakh side Aktobe, says the decision was not a hard one. “The year was unsuccessful for me and the club. There are several clubs interested in my services. I’m a free agent now and have time to think.”
Marcos has been playing for the Armenian national team since 2008. He has been capped 66 times, scoring 11 goals.
