On a visit to Los Angeles, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held meetings with representatives of the California and Los Angeles authorities.
At a meeting with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, the parties discussed the perspectives of development of relations in the fields of tourism and, implementation of investment programs, etc.
Eric Garcetti emphasized the importance of the Armenian Prime Minister’s visit.
“The Armenian community of Los Angeles is very successful and is actively engaged in all fields of the city’s social-economic life. Los Angeles and Yerevan are sister-cities, and we are cooperating effectively. In general, I attach great importance to partnership with Armenia,” the Mayor noted.
PM Pashinyan expressed gratitude to Eric Garcetti for the warm reception and for the support in organizing a rally in Grand Park.
“After the radical political changes, we are moving along the path of huge economic changes and achievements and the cooperation with our partners plays an important role here. Today we have a good dynamics of economic growth, and have achieved good results in eliminating corruption and monopoly, ensuring technological progress and improving the business climate,” he said.
The Prime Minister added that the continuous cooperation with the city of Los Angeles and the exchange of experience will contribute to the success of those processes.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of direct air communication and reached agreement to intensify the contacts to develop concrete programs and achieve practical results.
