Canada’s Justin Trudeau congratulates Armenian Horizon Weekly on 40th anniversary

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Canada-based Armenian Horizon Weekly, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau  has sent a congratulatory letter to the newspaper’s editor in chief Vahakn Karakachian.

Mr. Trudeau extended his my warmest greetings to the readers of the Armenian weekly newspaper Horizon, on the occasion of its 40th anniversary.

“This milestone is a wonderful opportunity to look back on the history of your newspaper and to highlight its achievements. For 40 years, Horizon has faithfully reported on events that have shaped the social, cultural and political landscape of Canada’s Armenian community,” Justin Trudeau said.

“I am certain that it will continue to enrich the lives of members of this community by giving voice to their hopes and dreams, and by taking part in the great debates of our society. Everyone associated with Horizon can take great pride in their commitment to the community,” he added.

On behalf of the Government of Canada, Mr. Trudeau offered congratulations and best wishes for every future success.
