Magnitude 4.8 quake strikes Armenia

Armenia was struck by a 4.8 magnitude earthquake, the National Survey for Seismic Protection reports.

The quake hit 13 km to the northeast of the village of Bavra close to the shared border with Georgia.

 The quake measured 6-7 at the epicenter. It was felt in Shirak, Lori, Tavush, Aragatsotn and Armavir provinces and capital Yerevan.
