Armenian tourists stranded in Egypt after the flight OTF 3703 was cancelled, will be flown to Yerevan at 3 pm today, the Armenian Embassy in Egypt said in a Facebook post.
Varag Siseryan, Head of Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan’s Office, Varag Siseryan said earlier the government was considering several options to organize the tourists’ return.
“The government is ready to pay for a charter flight to transport the Armenian citizens from Egypt,” he said in a Facebook post.
They were due to return to Armenia on Wednesday after ending their 10-day holiday in the Hurghada resort.
The flight is said to have been cancelled because the agency that sold tour packages failed to pay a Greek airline hired by it.
