Temperatures will hit +40 – +42 degrees Celsius in Yerevan and several provinces of Armenia on July 21-23, Gagik Surenyan, Head of the Meteorological Service of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a Facebook post.
High temperatures will be observed in Yerevan, Ararat and Armavir.
The world experienced its hottest June on record last month, with an average temperature worldwide of 16.4C, according to the data of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The heat was most notable in parts of Europe, Russia, Canada and South America, it said.
