Russian border guards have detained an illegal trespasser at the Armenian-Turkish border, the Russian Federal Security Service’s Border Defense Department in Armenia informs.
No identification documents were found with the man.
According to preliminary information, he is a citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and says he has crossed the border to escape military service.
The man has been handed over to Armenian law-enforcement bodies.
