On a working visit to the US, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian visited the Theodore Roosevelt Island.
The President laid flowers at Roosevelt Memorial and paid tribute to the memory of the former US President, who defended the rights of Armenians and Christian minorities in the Ottoman Empire throughout his tenure.
Theodore Roosevelt is also known for his courageous stance on the protection of genocide survivors’ rights.
