Henrikh Mkhitaryan makes it to The Guardian’s ‘Top 100’

Armenia captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been listed among the Guardian’s  100 best male footballers in the world in 2017. The Manchester United star is ranked 92nd (down from 57th in 2016).

“Mkhitaryan excelled during Manchester United’s run to the Europa League title last season, scoring in five of their eight knockout fixtures including the final, but beyond that competition this has been a year to forget,” the paper writes.

The best footballers have been chosen by 169 judges from 63 countries.  Led by the Brazilian legend Ronaldo, the global panel of players, coaches, broadcasters, reporters, correspondents and editors is fronted by 27 current and former professionals who have won a combined total of 698 caps.
