Armenian Parliament passes 2018 budget

The Armenian National Assembly voted 64-35 today to pass the State Budget bill for FY 2018.

In 2018 the total revenues will make 1 trillion 308 billion 285 million AMD of which 1 trillion 248 billion 500 million AMD is planned for tax revenues and state duties.

The expenditures will amount to 1 trillion 465 billion 200 million AMD, and the deficit will be almost unchanged at 156 billion AMD.

Tsarukyan alliance and Yelk bloc voted against the document. The bill was backed by the two coalition partners –the Republican Party of Armenia and the Armenian revolutionary federation Dashnaktsutyun.

The National Assembly also voted 73 to 12 (with 6 abstentions) to pass the controversial draft law on domestic violence at first reading.
