Armenia and Iran are good neighbors and the political and economic relations have been on the rise over the past years, Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif told reporters in Yerevan after talks with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
Mr. Zarif said issues of energy and transit are high on the agenda of Armenian-Iranian cooperation. He also attached importance to cooperation in the fields of environmental protection, education, science and technology.
The Iranian Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for Armenia’s support for principles of the Islamic Republic on international platforms and hailed Armenia’s efforts in ensuring peace and stability in the region.
Javad Zarif praised the progress Armenia and Iran have registered in their cooperation in all spheres.
