Armenia head coach to get contract extension

Head coach of the Armenian nation team will have his contract extended for another two years.

“We’ll extend the contract for two years and see what happens next,” Artur Petrosyan told a press conference after the friendly against Belarus.

He said the decision had nothing to do with the victory in the match, and had been taken before.

Speaking about the future goals, the head coach said “succeeding in the 2018-2019 UEFA Nations League is the target at this point.”

Armenia beat Belarus 4-1 in a home match against Belarus Thursday. Armenia will next hest Cyprus on Monday, November 13.
